About the American Bulldog:
The American Bulldog is a powerful,thick, bully working dog.The breed is bred to herd unruly cattle and to be a guardian dog. In fact, in the 17th and 18th centurys the American Bulldog was used to bait bulls for the local butchers to bait cattle that was ready for the market .Legend has it that many people thought the meat was not any good if the meat had not been baited by a Bulldog.They was also used to protect property from theivery. An American Bulldog is a happy ,friendly,assertive dog and also a powerful force that noone wants to be on the wrong side of . The American Bulldog will protect it's owner until the death or until the problem is dealt with, which makes them a wonderful guardian dog.American Bulldogs are very good with children , some even say they are good "nanny dogs". American Bulldogs are not one to wait on commands they have the sense to assess the situation and react to it in the appropriately manner and when called out by it's owner , the dog immediately obeys. All around the American Bulldog is the best breed to ever own.
